Fall is coming.
I don't know this because I wore a long-sleeve shirt to work Friday, Or because my feet are cold when I go to bed. Or because ragweed is driving me crazy.
I know fall is coming because of how inexplicably sad I am lately.
It must be the change of seasons.
There are things weighing upon me: a mean world, uncertainty at work, the new house, allergies, occasional falls, what will happen with the stolen DED device on Eureka. But nothing new (except Eureka and I am sure that is not it).
I know that I will be fine eventually. But I hate worrying that at any moment I may feel like crying. I wanted to blame the generic Effexor XR I just started taking, but I felt rotten before that.

I hate these posts. I know they are there and that they are important to be written, but I hate them, because they just remind me that there is stuff that just sucks and hurts people I love and I can't do a damn thing about it. It is the curse of our family(well one of the curses :)) to want to make it all better. I can't. I hate that. I hate when I can't make your life easier, I hate when I can't make the rest of our family's lives easier, I hate when I can't take away all the hard stuff from the littles.
So since I can't fix it, I will search and dig for the good. Like the fact that my babies are growing up with you, and sdt and amt. They are growing up with role models who show them that can't is not an option. That different is not scary or bad. It is just different.

and one more thing...just ask MDD...he will tell you that I totally agree, it is almost always appropriate to cry.

It was a smurfs' reference
you two deserve each other...and I mean that in the best brotherly way possible...

You didn't recognize that, Em? I'm appalled! Some of our finest work!
Was that how Surfette died? That's my recollection.
As to crying, apparently it's genetic. Jim calls it recreational crying when I do it. Just don't watch Major League 2, or you'll be weeping buckets.

I totally agree with Emily! The good thing about the fall is that football is here. Aren't you excited about the Redskins? I mean there is a countdown on television. Take me away!
I guess if fall makes you sad, you could think about moving to a warm climate where the weather never changes. But then you couldn't enjoy thing one and thing two doing all of their seasonal activities!
hang in there!
