If only I had thought of the Chevy Uplander

Last night I was trying to think of a car that begins with U. Actually, I was trying to think of a car for each letter, and U was the lone holdout.

I thought of unicycle, which led to stilts, which led to thoughts about things I couldn't do when I was little.

Surprisingly, they were not a ton. I did a lot, not well maybe, but I did it.

  • I was never able to walk on my eldest brother's stilts. My other brother, who also has FA, could.
  • I could not use my sister's full-shoe roller-skates at all. They fit, but no balancce. I could use the clunky clip-on skates.
  • I could not stand with my eyes shut, my knees bent and my arms in front of me. I remember reading that this was a good way to test your balance.
  • I could not walk the balance beam at a local playground.
I chose not to do a lot, probably because I knew I couldn't, but those were four things I thought I could do and wanted to do. Oh well.

Um...I don't remember being able to do the stilts. I guess it could be age?

Have to say the stilts were not easy or very fun. And I always get stuck on the letter K no matter what list I'm running in my head

I have not tried cars, cities lots though. And I have to agree, the stilts were pretty difficult for anyone.

I scroll through characters from fiction and names I would never give a child. You couldn't walk on stilts, but you could climb out on the roof and oh I don't even want to think about it.

I don't recall that you were good at them or used them a lot, but I thought you could.

K is easy with cars: the K car.

I worked with cars for years. Maybe it is time to start with endangered species. I normally do comic book characters, and sometimes Marvel or DC. But I invariably wonder if I do heroes or villains or both. Or I wonder if Catwoman is hero or villain. Or I get to V and can't think of anyone but Vic Stone, but do alter egos work?

Matt, were you the one doing Tolkien characters? That is always a good list. I have turned to bird species at times; endangered species might be a challenge.
